If you observe the beach carefully, you will discover a delicate and precious ecosystem suspended between land and sea. To this environment belong the grains of sand, the shells, the vegetation and the many creatures that live on the beach and in the waters near the shore.

Every day dedicated to the protection of the sea
Marevivo has been working since 1985 for the protection of the sea and the environment, against pollution and illegal fishing, for the study of biodiversity, the promotion and enhancement of protected marine areas, education in schools and universities for sustainable development as well as raising awareness on all issues related to the sea.

Posidonia is not trash
Posidonia oceanica is a submerged plant only found in the Mediterranean that gives us oxygen and plays a fundamental role in defending the seabed and coastlines from erosion. Its leaves, which often accumulate on the beach, should not be considered waste because, as happens in the sea, they offer food and shelter to many organisms.

Protect the flora
Protect all the plants you find: they are precious and perform very important tasks such as retaining the sand and protecting the beach from erosion.

A fragile asset
The sea is a precious ecosystem, do not take sand, shells, pebbles, or wood as if they were souvenirs: they belong to everyone and make the beach richer and more varied.

Respect the fauna
Respect the animals that live on the beach and in the sea: they are not toys.

Collect waste
Leave only your footprints in the sand. If you really want to take something away, collect the rubbish you find on the beach or in the water and dispose of it where it is allowed.

No single-use plastic
Use water bottles and materials that are reusable or, at the very least, compostable. Help us to eliminate the disposable plastic that is polluting beaches and seas around the world.

4-legged friends
Take your 4-legged friend only where it is permitted and collect what it deposits. Check that it does not disturb and that it does not cause damage to vegetation and animals that live or nest on the sand.

Follow the directions
If you are in a protected area, respect all the information provided to you, so as to know and help preserve the value of the place where you are.

Respect others
Remember that you are not the only one who wants to enjoy the beach. Always observe the main rules of respectful coexistence
